5 Reasons Why Wealthy Affiliate is Worth It

Wealthy Affiliate IS Worth It – Here Are 5 Reasons Why

Joining Wealthy Affiliate is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!  I started my first website based on my passion for Hawaii and all the fun things that you can do here.  I’d already started a local business, and I knew that to really make the business grow, it had to have an online presence.  So I built that first site on the very easy to use website builder, Wix.  Unfortunately, I had no idea how to get people to come to my site.

Desperate for traffic, I looked to marketing “gurus” with “sure-fire” plans.Click Here to Read My Complete Review of Wealthy Affiliate  Some of these schemes made me a little poorer, and a little wiser, but none of them provided me with the full scope of knowledge I needed in order to grow my business online.  So when I found WA, I was elated.   Here are 5 things that have made WA totally worth it to me:

1. Value

I put value first on this list, because value really has got to be the main reason why anything is “worth it”.    I’m going to come back to this at the end, but I wanted to mention it first.   I do this because, while you read through the rest of this list, I want you to think about all of the other places, programs, platforms or systems that provide everything that WA provides.

2. Top Notch Training

Premium members at Wealthy Affiliate have access to 2 separate training courses, the Online Certification Course and the Affiliate Bootcamp (don’t worry, there are no shouting drill sergeants).   With well over 100 different lessons, the curriculum of is designed to take you from being a total newbie to a successful online entrepreneur.  Not only that, but you have access to website experts, including WA founders Kyle and Carson for 1-on-1 help.

Kyle is the trainer for these official WA courses.  He’s very clear and goes through each lesson in an easy to follow, step by step manner.  The certification training covers everything from the nuts and bolts of setting up your WordPress site, to using SEO and Social Media best practices to get traffic and then converting that traffic into paying customers.  Here’s a peek at the first level of the certification training:

But no single trainer can provide every answer to every question for every website in every niche.  That’s why Kyle and Carson had the wisdom to invite the community to provide training as well, and get rewarded to do it!  There are literally thousands of videos and tutorials available at Wealthy Affiliate.

Oh, and did I mention the weekly live video classes?  The weekly webinars (or WAbinars as we like to call them) are held on Friday nights (or on Saturday’s depending on what part of the world you live in).   Each week Jay, WA’s official live trainer, tackles a topic of interest to online entrepreneurs.  These live training events are always entertaining as well as informative.  And in case you miss the live training, or if you just want to watch again, all the past WAbinars are posted for premium members to watch whenever.

Here’s a small sample of WAbinar titles so far in 2017:

3. Unsurpassed Hosting,  Support and Security

Okay, this one is not so exciting, but it’s oh so important.  If your site goes down due to poor or unstable hosting, you risk losing money.  If it goes down repeatedly, it will affect your site’s ranking in search engines.  Wealthy Affiliate provides high quality, unlimited hosting with 24/7 website support.  The couple of times I’ve needed support, due to a plugin that was causing issues with my site, I was provided with help within just a few minutes and my issue was solved.

It’s not enough to just have a site that won’t crash all the time, you also want your site to be secure. Visitors feel more comfortable when they see that little green lock in the address bar of their browser.

WA provides SSL for it’s premium members who own their own domains, FOR FREE.  Not only that, they make it super easy.   This is a really big deal.   With most other hosts you will need to buy an SSL certificate ($40 – $50) and install it yourself.  WA didn’t even raise their fees when they added this feature.

4. WordPress

Some other website builders out there (like Wix) use proprietary software.  While easy to use, these site builders are usually not nearly as comprehensive and flexible as WordPress.  There are literally thousands of WordPress themes available, many of them totally free (yes, this site is running on a free theme).   WordPress is super easy to use, and the awesome training at WA will show you how to have your first site up and running in just minutes.

If you’re concerned that building your site might be too technical for you, don’t worry.   I felt the same way at first.  But between the extensive WA training, help from the community, and the awesome site support, I’ve never be stuck for long.

5. Community

Community is what really sets Wealthy Affiliate apart.  There’s really nothing else like it.  Kyle and Carson have nurtured WA into a place where folks cheer each other on and where “paying it forward” is highly valued.   You won’t find shady guys spamming you or trying to sell you their the next get rich quick scheme.  That kind of behavior is not tolerated.

Instead, the platform encourages helpfulness.  WA employs a sophisticated ranking system that rewards engagement and helpfulness.  Even asking questions questions of the community can help to improve your rank.  So, instead of feeling all alone in the big bad world of online marketing, Wealthy Affiliate members truly feel supported and a part of something bigger.

It’s not just the newbies that benefit from the community.  I’ve come across many members of WA who were already seasoned and successful online marketers when they joined.   Most of these folks joined, not to be a part a community and sing Kumbaya.  They joined because they recognize that the online economy and internet marketing realms are so rapidly changing, no one person can master it all.

So now we’ve come back around to VALUE.

  1. I am glad you made a review on wealthy affiliate.I myself am a member of Wealthy Affiliate community since six months now and I am really happy with what they are offering me for less than $1 per day.The training and facilities offered at wealthy affiliate are world class and helpful for those who wish to be online entrepreneurs

  2. If there’s anything that’s convincing me to stay with Wealthy Affiliate other than the training itself, it’s the awesome hosting and technical support it provided. A recent SSL upgrade for free is good news where other providers would charge additionally to upgrade your website. And the technical support always replied to my queries in minutes.

    1. It was the training and community that won me over at first. But now I’m realizing more and more how totally awesome the hosting and tech support really are. Talk about bang for the buck!

  3. Thanks for a great article! I just want to add to a point you made regarding the first website you built, but still not knowing how to get people to it. Because this was the problem with all the low cost or free web builders I tried too. I spent many-an-hour trying to (like you) find the pieces like a big jigsaw puzzle, let alone the cost for the missing pieces. Anyway, this is the thing that blows my mind about having everything you need to build a successful online business, in Wealthy Affiliate. A no brainer if you ask me! No more fishing around for this and that to make it all work.

    1. Yes! Thanks for amplifying my point. The training and community are what have really made all the difference. Before I felt like I my site was a lonely spot on an empty desert highway. Now, the traffic is starting to come and I’m looking forward to more and more!
